¿WHO WE ARE?

SCLatina,
is a publication of Expressions INC. This is the first of a series of Sectoral newspapers in Spanish for the Latino population of Texas. It is directed to about 1.400.000 Colombians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorian and other Latin-American people living in Houston, Galveston, Woodlands, Katy and Pasadena.

Based on several recent surveys, SCLatina symbolizes the needs of Colombians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorian and other Latino readers in the Houston area.

SCLatina
is a newspaper in a tabloid size. Agile and easy to read, with short and well edited notes by page.

The front, and two central pages are in color, the rest of the content is in black and white. At SCLatina we work to serve our readers; they get a newspaper that is relevant to their lives.

SCLatina
Is published every 15 days, with local and community news. It also contains news and articles on education, health, personal finance and other services as well as information related to the lifestyle of Colombians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorian and other Latinos living in Texas.

SCLatina
also provides full coverage of national, international, sports and entertainment news, but always with the interests of our readers in mind, including an expanded coverage of Colombia and the rest of Latin America.

SCLatina features original reporting, with an emphasis on education, health, travel, recipes, and the day to day activities of people in this country. Also, information on entertainment and weekend activities, including exclusive interviews with Colombian and Latino stars, restaurant and club reviews, and the latest in music and movie openings.

Target Reader: All generations of Colombians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorian and other Latins between ages of 15 and 100, looking for news in Spanish.

Distribution: SCLatina will distribute 60,000 units every month in Houston, Galveston, Woodlands, Katy and Pasadena.

The newspaper is distributed for free at commercial establishments, restaurants and homes owned by Colombians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorian and other Latins of Houston, Galveston, Woodlands, Katy and Pasadena.

Starting September of 2006 SCLatina is distributed by subscription to 250 homes based in Houston, Galveston, Woodlands, Katy and Pasadena. In conclusion, SCLatina opens up greater penetration opportunities in the Colombian, Venezuelan Ecuadorian and others in the Latino community.
